THE HISTORY OF DAVEIGA

La sociedad Lugar da Veiga SLL surge en enero de 2005 para poner en marcha el proyecto empresarial Daveiga Producción Responsable. Durante este primer año nos centramos en el desarrollo del producto,  presentando en junio de 2006 la marca Mariñeiras ® al mercado.

2005
The daveiga project is born.

The company LUGAR DA VEIGA SLL was established in January 2005 to launch the business project Daveiga Responsible Production.

2006
Development in 2005/2006.

The execution of the technical project for the facilities was completed in October 2005, after which it moved on to the product development phase, which lasted until June 2006, when the product was launched to the market.

Mariñeiras® Bread Toasts

It is a long-lasting bakery product. Its neutral flavor and resistance to moisture absorption prevent it from becoming soft over time, making it ideal for making both sweet and savory canapés.

Integrated system of quality and food safety (SIGSA)

Lugar da Veiga implements an Integrated Quality and Food Safety Management System, which after three years incorporates the following certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, UNE 166002, BRC, and IFS Food.

Recognitions for the project

Lugar da Veiga has received a series of recognitions over the years, among which the following stand out: Financial Times Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies (2018, 2019, 2020), SME of the Year in Lugo (2020), Superior Taste Award (2009), Quality Leader AENOR (2012), Plimsoll Business Excellence Certificate (2020), and Business Excellence 2021 from Ardán awarded by the Vigo Free Trade Zone.

Consolidation of the project

From 2013 onwards, Lugar da Veiga grew exponentially, increasing production from 400kg/day in 2013 to 6,000kg/day in 2020.

AUMENTAMOS LA CAPACIDAD DE PRODUCCIÓN CON UNAS NUEVAS INSTALACIONES

At the end of 2022, we opened our new facilities, which allow us to cope with the growth of recent years, improve working conditions and our corporate image.

Until today, we continue learning and improving alongside our customers, suppliers, and consumers.
