Easy Homemade Recipe for Cod Fritters with Mariñeiras® Toast
Today we're launching the Daveiga blog on the new website with a fantastic idea!😉
We're kicking off January with a bang—here's a recipe that's a 10 out of 10! We'll walk you through how to make these delicious cod fritters step by step. So take note—we'll start with the ingredients you'll need before you get started.
ingredients
- 200 grams of desalted, flaked cod
- 1 egg
- 1 clove of garlic
- Fresh parsley
- Mariñeiras® snack-sized garlic and parsley bread croutons.
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 140 grams of wheat flour
- 1 clove of garlic
- Saffron and a dash of food coloring
- 150 ml of water
HOW TO MAKE COD FRIERS
- First, you need to make a firm dough by mixing the cod with the garlic, chopped parsley, saffron, flour, water, and yeast using your hands. Add a little salt to this mixture to taste.
- We spend a little while kneading this mixture by hand until we have a dough where everything is well incorporated.
- Once you have the desired shape for the batter—we recommend making it slightly rounded—fry it in plenty of oil that you’ve already heated. You can use a soup spoon to drop some of the batter into the oil; you’ll see that it will gradually form into a ball.
- Finally, remove the ball from the oil and let it rest and drain on absorbent paper towels.
- To serve them, you can place them on top of our Mariñeiras® snack-sized toasts, which are flavored with parsley and garlic . They’ll taste incredible and help you create a more eye-catching presentation for your cod fritters.
And there you go!🥰 Now you have some cod fritter canapés really cool and super tasty, just like the ones in the photo. If you try making these cod fritters, don't forget to tag us on our Instagram so you can share your content. See you in the next recipe!
