Prepara estos sencillos helados con tostas de pan mariñeiras ® para tus comensales
In the summer, when it’s time for dessert, we usually opt for some good ice cream. Instead of the usual cakes or sponge cakes, we prefer to try these summer treats that sweeten our vacations and help us beat the heat. That’s why we’ve decided to show you how to make simple artisanal ice creams with mariñeiras® bread toasts for your guests by following a few easy steps.
How to Make Ice Cream with Our Toasted Bread Slices
Homemade ice cream is easier to make than it seems. Plus, you can customize it to your liking. The recipe we’re sharing in this post is for vanilla ice cream. Follow these steps to make it—we know you’ll wow your guests!
INGREDIENTS
- Whipping cream (100 ml)
- Vanilla extract
- Whole milk (300 ml)
- Sugar (80 gr)
- Free-range egg yolks (4)
- Classic "Tostas de pan mariñeiras®"
PREPARATION
- First, pour the milk into a saucepan, add the vanilla extract, and heat it over low heat. Then add the four egg yolks and the sugar. As it heats, you must whisk it constantly so the eggs don't curdle and the sugar dissolves.
- Don't let the mixture come to a boil; as soon as you see bubbles forming, remove it from the heat and transfer it to a bowl. Then add the cream and mix well.
- When the mixture is ready, pour the ice cream mixture into a container with a lid and place it in the freezer.
- It should remain there for 30–40 minutes. Afterward, remove it and whisk it well to remove the layer of ice that forms on the surface. Then, put it back in the freezer. You’ll need to repeat this process 3 or 4 times.
- Next, take the ice cream out of the freezer so you can spread it on the toast.
- Scoop up a little ice cream with the spoon, place it on top of one of our toasts, and cover it with the other one. To make sure it doesn't stick out, use the spoon to remove any excess ice cream. Repeat this process with all the toasts until you've used up all the ice cream.
- Finally, once all the ice cream treats are assembled, place them in the freezer and don't take them out until you're ready to serve them.
Add more flavor to your Tostas de Pan Mariñeiras® ice cream
If you have more time to make the toast ice cream and would like to add more flavor, we'd like to suggest these ingredients, which will garnish this dessert and give it a special touch of flavor.
There are several options to suit every taste; you can make a variety of ice cream flavors and let customers choose. You can also feature a different flavor each day. Here are the options.
One option is to top your Mariñeiras® bread toast ice cream with chocolate. But how do you do it? Buy baking chocolate and melt it, mixing it with a little milk and a couple of spoonfuls of refined coconut oil. When it’s ready, spread it over half of your mariñeiras ice cream, wait a few minutes, and you’ll end up with a solid layer of chocolate on top. You can also do the same with layers of white chocolate, dark chocolate, or caramel.
Other ingredients you can add are nuts. Chop up a handful of almonds or hazelnuts and put them in a bowl. Then spread the chocolate ice cream and place it in the bowl to coat it with these delicious nuts.
Some people are allergic to nuts or simply don't like the taste. For them, we recommend chunks of colorful caramel chips or chocolate chips. Those with a sweet tooth will really enjoy these extra ingredients. Plus, the result will be a beautiful ice cream that everyone will want to share on social media.
Sweeten your customers' summer with these ice creams. As you can see, there are plenty of options to suit every taste. Also, encourage them to share these treats with family and friends so they can see just how creative and thoughtful you are. If you decide to try making this recipe, tag us on social media!😄
