🌱 Rural Communities Building the Future: Daveiga at the Sustainable Rural Forum
This weekend, the town of Chantada It became a meeting place for dialogue, reflection, and action regarding the future of rural areas. The second edition of the Sustainable Rural Forum, an initiative launched by Hijos de Rivera Corporation which brought together nearly a hundred people committed to transforming the region.
A space to listen, share, and build
The forum was created with the aim of giving a voice to agents of change: organizations, projects, and companies that are already working to ensure a vibrant, dynamic rural community with a promising future. During the event, participants shared inspiring experiences that demonstrate that another model is possible—one based on sustainability, innovation, and deep roots in the local community.
Beyond the event itself, this space aims to serve as the seed for working groups capable of transforming ideas into real projects—initiatives in which the rural setting is not merely the backdrop, but also the focal point.
Learning to Appreciate
In Daveiga We are very mindful of our roots and our commitment to the region. For this reason, it was an honor to participate in this forum through our general coordinator, Xosé Lois Lamazares Vence, sharing our experience as a social economy project committed to a responsible production model rooted in rural Galicia.
Spaces like this underscore the importance of building networks, joining forces, and working together to build a more sustainable future for rural communities.
We would like to thank all the attendees, organizers, and participants for making this forum such an enriching gathering. We also thank you for inviting Daveiga to be part of this much-needed conversation.
We continue to work, from the heart of the Ribeira Sacra, so that rural life can continue to be a part of the present… and, above all, the future.
