More than 150 people attended the event, which featured remarks by the Regional Minister of Economy, Employment, and Industry; the President of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES); and the Councilwoman for Social Policies of the City of Santiago. The Founding Manifesto was signed, and a call was made for greater visibility and a stronger presence for the Galician social economy, with the goal of representing its interests and creating the necessary conditions for its development through inter-cooperation and access to public procurement processes.
Daveiga collaborated by sponsoring the launch event for this Forum, which is comprised of the Union of Cooperatives of Galicia (EspazoCoop), the Association of Agri-Food Cooperatives (Agaca), the Galician Association of Special Employment Centers (Cegasal), the Association of Worker-Owned Companies of Galicia (Aesgal), and the Association of Social Integration Enterprises of Galicia (Aeiga). These entities represent 371 organizations, with annual revenue of 1,616.5 million euros and 9,276 employees.
