ingredients
- Mariñeiras® Toasted Bread Canapés
- 2 cans of pickled mussels
- 2 cans of tuna in olive oil
- 1 handful of fresh chives
- 1 piquillo pepper
- 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
- 1 handful of raw almonds
preparation
Before we start making the pâté, let's prepare the ingredients we'll use for the final assembly:
- Chop the fresh chives into small pieces.
- Prepare the raw almonds and arrange the "tostas mariñeiras" on a tray or plate.
2. Making the pâté
These canapés are made with a creamy, flavorful pâté.
- Add the pickled mussels, tuna, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and piquillo peppers to the blender jar. Blend until smooth.
- If the texture is too runny, you can add a few mariñeiras and blend again. This will help thicken the pâté and add even more flavor.
- Once it's ready, we put the pâté into a pastry bag to make plating easier.
3. Plating
It's time to assemble the canapés.
We place the mariñeiras on a flat plate.
Using a pastry bag, pipe the pâté onto each toast in a circular motion.
Sprinkle the fresh chives on top.
We top each canapé with a raw almond.
The result is an eye-catching, crunchy, and flavorful appetizer.
A perfect snack to share
These canapés are perfect as an appetizer for celebrations, family meals, or get-togethers with friends. The combination of seafood pâté with the fresh flavor of chives and the crunch of almonds creates a delicious contrast in every bite.
