Daveiga on #esSocial: Talking About Who We Are
Some conversations go beyond a simple interview.
These are moments to pause, look back, and put into words the things that are often part of our daily lives but aren't always shared. That's what we've had the opportunity to do together with Abeluria Coop, through its channel within the project #esSocial.
One company, one model
During the interview, we shared our vision for Daveiga: not just as a food company, but as a project that was born and has grown out of a commitment to the region.
We talked about how we understand innovation, the importance of maintaining our own identity, and what it means to develop a product like Mariñeiras from rural Galicia. But above all, we talked about our business model—a way of doing business where people, the environment, and purpose carry just as much weight as the product itself.
Social Economy: A Way to Build
The Project #esSocial It highlights initiatives that demonstrate that another kind of economy is possible—one that is more connected to people, more deeply rooted in the local community, and focused on the long term.
This initiative is supported by the PERTE for the Social Economy and Care Sector, launched by the Government of Spain as part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, and funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
Being part of this initiative is also a way to highlight that the rural business community has much to contribute in this context.
Participating in these kinds of interviews allows us to do something important: share what we’ve learned. What we’ve done, how we’ve done it, and what challenges still lie ahead. Because the journey never stops, and every step is part of a constant evolution.
If there's one thing that initiatives like #esSocial and projects like ours are driven by the desire to tell stories.
Tell the story behind it.
Share what works.
And also what is yet to be built.
Because, in the end, every story we share helps pave the way.
